Gastric Pain and Diarrhea after Breakfast

This morning I felt a pain that needed a medicine. Few minutes after eating my breakfast, I experienced a gastric pain that was intense that I took a Buscopan Plus tablet. It was accompanied by a diarrhea in which I spent more time in the rest room.

Then, I realized that I stayed late and slept around 2am, which came to a further realization that I did not eat a midnight snacks/meal. This was the advise that was given to me by my doctors that if and when I stay late, I must eat.

Dinuguan – a favorite food

Eating Dinuguan without Gallbladder

Yesterday, I ate another favorite food – dinuguan. Its been a while after my Lap Chole (Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy) operation last October 1, 2009. For more than 6 months, I wasn’t able to eat and taste the dinuguan.

Dinuguan (blood stew) is a Filipino dish that is composed of pig’s inner parts like stomach, intestines, liver, ears, and snout – mixed with its main ingredient – the pig’s blood. It is usually cooked with vinegar, fish sauce or soy sauce, garlic, and chili to make it spicy.

It so happened that when I went to my mother’s hometown – San Remigio, Cebu, my uncle-in-law’s family celebrated the death anniversary of his sister, Susan Green.

After breakfast pain – without gallbladder

I woke up around 7 am because my 1-year old son woke me up. I carried him downstairs and gave to my wife. I already felt some pain in my stomach. I just thought it’s a normal hunger pain. So, I ate breakfast. But after I ate my breakfast, the pain did not subside but rather severed.

I went to rest room thinking it will help mellow the pain. But not.

I took an anti-diarrhea medicine and went back to bed to rest.
